I know, I know, most of you are wondering why the heck are there popups on HipHopClique right? Well I know I promised I wont do anything extreme like this before but I have no choice to. The money we earned from this site from our ads almost covered all of our hosting cost. However, due to its recent blooming, we are forced to upgrade to a newer hosting plan with more space and bandwidth. We previously were hosted on a 10 gig server with 50 gig bandwidth, but we need more bandwidth. Almost two weeks ago I got a warning that we used up about 97.3% of our bandwidth and that we needed to upgrade. So I contacted my server administrator and upgraded it. Trust me when I say this, upgrading to a newer plan costs a lot of money. This new plan is almost twice the cost with our current host, Netnub, however their servers are worth it. Netnub is partnered with CWHNetworks who owns Mach 1 servers. Those servers have incredible speed! Our new plan consists of 20 gig of space and 200 gigabytes worth of bandwidth. This will make sure that we don't have any over usage of bandwidth issues again!
I cannot afford to pay for the account with the money from my pockets being a college students whose living in an apartment in the middle of Rochester, NY. So since we earned decent amount of money from our adsense, I thought why not ad a popup where those that like something from our affiliates ads can click to view their site and we can earn money for that.
Once again, we are sorry but it is a necessary step.
